Ok, I'm really scared at the moment!!
My driver side break light wasn't working the other day, so I replace the bulb and there was no change. Then I had to play with it to the point it was in the right position then it worked. I have realized today now I have some serious issues; - cruise control doesn't work when my headlights are on - brakes don't work/ are constantly on when headlights are on - when my head lights are on and I have my foot on the brake, then take the keys out the car keeps running until I take my foot off the break!! I may have posted this in the wrong section but any help or advice would be awesome!! Thanks guys |

Hi,
You are not the first to do this. Look back and think about the events..... You were sold a wrong part that looks and is different. It didnt fit properly, the bayonet pins are in line with a single filament globe. ( on a Tail brake light globe the wattage is 4 for tail and 21 for brake, the offset bayonet pins are so the globe goes in only one way so the wattage is right for both applications ) Some strange things happened afterwards. Some things often dont make sense at the time, but they do when you look back. It all started after the globe was changed, first step is put the old one back and see what happens. If the problems go away, compare the globes. There is a difference. Regards 96ELGli

The old globe was blown tho. So nothing would happen .....
Always always always compare you're old part with the replacement side by side to be sure they are gonna work. |
