Hi guys, been a while since I popped my head in. I just recently picked up a cheap AU to drive as a daily driver so I have time work on my XB. I have tried to do a search, but I was not really succesful in finding what i wanted.
I remember reading somewhere on the forum, that either BA front suspention or parts of, including the brakes can be installed into an AU. I just wanted to know if I was remembering correctly or not? Cheers |

I just got some info from somone on a Facebook group. Mine is a series I AU, so i have been told I will need calipers, rotors, stubs, lower arms, swaybar, links, swaybar mount. I was thinking I may need a to replace the K frame
I am still a little unsure about a few things. Do I need BA Struts, or are they the same as AU struts? Do I need to upgrade the master cylinder, or will the AU one be alright? And my last question is, can you use territory brakes and rotors on an BA? Cheers |

only where the sway bar mounting brackets bolt to the chassis, the holes are there on the outside of the rails but not on the inside, you can drill the whole way through the rail and use long bolts..
i have read on a thread on aff that you can actually use the series 1 lower control arms with a eb swaybar and just swap the upright/stub axle over to just use the better brakes.. you can also keep the series1 booster and master cyl if you want, i have fitted a series2 booster and master cyl but the boost mounting holes in the firewall have to re drilled to suit... |
