Hey guys, i've read a few of the posts about this problem but mine seems to be different i think. I recently bought a 1996 EL Falcon. Now i've been told it's running an ED Engine and Gearbox, and an AU Head on it. I know it's a bitser but since i got it, it has an idling problem. It normally idles just under 1000rpm but when it drops below the car tries to stall and revs itself upto 2000rpm+ to keep it on, Whenever my revs drop below 1000 this happens and it sounds as if it isn't getting the right fuel to air mixture (Backfires a little) I've had a mechanic look at it and he thinks its the Idle Control Sensor. But i read somewhere that if you unplug your sensor and it makes your revs drop it's working? I've cleaned out that sensor, cleaned my O2 Sensor, just recently run injector cleaner through it (Thought maybe i had a clogged injector) but still stalls. When i turn it on cold it won't start to do it for roughly 3-5 minutes but if the engines warm it will start basically straight away. I've thought maybe my vacuum lines have a leak or my fuel pressure is down? But i don't know how to check those. If anyone could help i would really appreciate it, thank you.
