Edelbrock E Streets are a good set of heads, they are a goods size for the 302. I wouldn't go any bigger though on a stock bottom end, as it is these are going to come on mid to top end, depending on your cam and intake combo.

Personally I would go for AFR 165's they are a few $$ more, but its all a personal preference.

The valvetrain in them is rubbish. There's a reason they are cheaper than the Edelbrock Performers, and thats were they saved money.

Hey, I have a set of these heads, they flow the same numbers as the RPM edlebrocks but do have a crap valve train. The standard springs are not suitable for Hyd Roller cams, I have a roller 302 and have changed the springs to a set of Howards roller springs.

You can get drop in springs off the shelf, unfortunately they are Chev part numbers to suit the LS/gen 3 motors.

I got a set due to the cheaper price of the head, and a mate had some on a 302 mustang and it was a huge increase over the old cast iron heads.
