Hey guys, i recently bought a Ba Fairmont and this question may have been asked many times before, and being new to installing subs i was curious if anyone has a good idea on how to install dual 12 inch subwoofers without having to purchase a new head unit. i want to use the standard Ba fairmont module unit. thanks.

does the fairmont not have premium sound? if it does then you would have a sub on the parcel shelf already. if so is it possible to replace the factory amp with your amp, and run the wires to your own subs instead of the stock one?

From what i can see no there is no sub on the parcel shelf, just the two speakers on the shelf. but with that, would there be a connection on the rear of the ba fairlane icc module to connect off, that they would use for the premium sound (sub) set up?

But im unsure, i may have premium sound without the sub? because i have, the 6 stackers, but without the colour screen, and i have what appears to me as tweeters in the front pillars.

i was just looking through the manual that came with the vehicle and comparing the audio systems, i have what appears to be the "prestige/premium 6-disc in dash cd audio system" without colour screen, i have tweeters in the pillars. so would that be possible to have the connections for amp/subs to connect to the back of the icc module?

I have a BA with the black screen.I fitted the tweeters,which work,so purchased subbie and amp,for which the wiring is in position, and fitted them. Unfortunately they will not work,unless a mod is done to the wiring, and ASL do it. I am going to change to the MK11 colour screen, and let ASL do their thing to get it working. http://www.aslautomedia.com.au/ Hope this helps.
