Hey,
Well it turns out that my new J3 causes the car to constantly have the air conditioning on. Knowing the air con drains power from the engine, is there any way to disable the air con? Would removing the fuse disable it? I've also been told about adding an extra switch to the air con clutch wire. Having the air con constantly going sorta cancels all the power benefits from the j3 chip. Any help would be awesome! Thanks, Sam. |

remove the j3, problem solved.....
this is the main reason i went for sct flash tuner over the j3.. otherwise just unplug the wires from the a/c pump.... |

there pricey, the flash tuner is usually around the $750 mark.. so if money spent is a concern your stuck with the j3 option.. is it a ti chip??
if it is have you contacted jason at ti about it?? |

Yeah its a ti chip.
I had a couple of other problems with the chip so ive sent it back for repair. Jason said he had a couple of problems with this particular ecu and the j3 with the air con constantly on. He said there just isn't anything he can do to stop it. So i guess I've got a choice, constant air con(reduced power) or no air con(more power), or no j3 at all. That flash tuner is outside my price range haha |
