Hey all

the olds here have got a BA fairmont ghia and a BF XT

now the BF XT seems to be running horrible and we are wanting to try the coils from the BA ,

Ford said it wouldn't work but you can go BF coils into a BA would anyone know the reason why?

Just wanting peoples opinion as others can future reference before i get into it + i just want to be 110% sure its coil/ coils before i purchase a new set

You can fit BF coils to an BA but you can't fit early coils (BA) to a BF

The codes are: 3R2U
12A366-AA (initial model),
12A366-AB (first revision - see pic below),
12A366-AC (second revision),

These has been replaced with 5R2U -12A366-AA. This info is over 12 months old now so there may even be further revisions.

dam yea i googled it i just didnt want to face reality

i bought a set of VDO coils and plugs from ebay for my wifes BA- was so impressed bought a set for my BFII, no dramas at all,and at $210 great value also.
