hey everyone got a problem with the aircon it keeps cuttng in and out like it be cold for a few mins then warm. once u hear the gas kick in then it would be cold again. the gas is full cause i got it regas about a year or two ago before a went up to queensland and it still had the same problem up there. i also notice when u put the switch to 3 or 4 it would go warm alot quicker, the coldest does last as long it a pain in the a** on a hot day like today so if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated thanks.

Could be a rooted air con pump as well.
We had the exact same issue with the ministers XR8 when she first got it.
Was a f**k AC compressor.

so im guessing if the the gas is still full or there abouts it probably is the compressor itself on its way out or already is.

it could be low gas, faulty high/low pressure switch, faulty pump or temp switch..
take it ang get it looked at, we can throw ideas and possably causes around but you wont know for sure untill the system is checked for leaks and pressure..

The Sanden Scroll compressors are pretty basic in makeup - if they don't pump, it could possibly be the scrolls - carbonstrips chopping out, scrolls shattering. Other than that, bearing seizure.

Not necessarily - apply 12v to the compressor clutch to force it on, and check the pipeline from the firewall to the compressor should have condensation/be cool at both ends, particularly at the firewall. Only do this for a few minutes just in case you do have low gas. Make sure you have air flow through the radiator while doing this.
