ill give you some credit for being creative lol,
but port sizes are much smaller on the early log manifolds and the differences are to much to mention..

Haha thanks troyman, just trying to think outside the box. Thought with some effort it would be a cheap solid intake... But oh well... Back to looking out for an fg xr6t manifold for a reasonable cost.

If it had of worked, would have been on to a winner I recon lol better then $1000-1500 for an aftermarket one.

Plan b - what does it take to make one from scratch? Have access to aluminum welders/welding supplies+CNC mill. I know the basics, but only issue I can't figure out without more research is the mounting of injectors... Again, pissing into the wind? Or am I far too nieeve, and there is a reason they are $1500?

Would be cheaper to buy an FG intake or pull the butterflys out of your BBM.

Are you staying NA?

If you are you will loose the advantage in torque with the BBM.

The plan is to turbo, or potentially sell upgrade to an NA fg with ZF and LSD (rather then upgrading my 5spd non LSD to ZF and LSD)... So either or, I can unbolt and bolt onto a different car returning this one to stock.

Hmm... Appears I've hit a dead end on trying to upgrade on the cheap, sometimes the best ways have already been thought of. Oh well, no harm in trying...

plan now after some looking around is to graft on the log style manifold from the e series intake onto the flange/injector mounts of a b series BBM intake... i know im spending twice as much money and ruining a perfectly good thing, but it gives me a bit of creative freedom in the layout of the engine bay. i have a plan in my mind, and if i can pull it off... i think it will be worth it.

no offense to Troyman, i know im taking a long a** about way of doing this... and dont get me wrong, VERY MUCH appreciate your opinion and guidance. but after reading Dsyfer's thread on his car and the ITB, i think im doing it for the same reasons he suggested...

well his got a few other reasons, but yeah they dont really apply to me lol... eg I want something different than the regular turbo etc

cheers... sorry if it seems im being an a**hole, to be completely honest i really dont think it will work at all. but aye, might as well give it a crack... if it goes to plan, will just be some remodelling, bit of mill work, and some welding...
if it turns out alright, then aye i might even just go into shock and pass out lol
