Hi guys.
Just a recent issue with my car I'd like some advice on before I get anything repaired. Put key in ignition barrel, turn, doesn't crank at all. Switch from park to neutral, try start it again, usually works. If not chuck it back in park, and always starts then. Also another issue, reverse down my driveway, 5-10 meters or so, put car into drive, car moves forward slowly then starts revving like its in neutral then starts rolling back (I live on a hill street). Put it in neutral then drive, same thing. Turn car off, on put it into drive, works usually. A little background on the car, car is always serviced on time, any faults are fixed. it is used as a daily drive but is really only used throughout the week to travel 400km or so, highway driving.Only reason I'm asking is I'm planning a trip to Griffith from Sydney after Christmas. |

The starting issue may be a faulty inhibitor switch which tells the ECU what position the gear lever is in.
With the other problem, is there plenty of oil in the 'box? Has it been serviced recently?
