Cheaper and easier to super charge. Not alot of room to turbo these things that I can see.

talk to paul at C.V.E performance he done his own car[ rear mount ] bout 5 years ago ,think it was a ba v8 ghia
also call repuatable performance shops , most have played with rear mount setups if u want it to last ,in my opinion 4-6 psi would do nicely, maybe as much as 8or9, good luck mate |

Always wondered about rear turbo applications, wouldn't they suffer from massive lag or is it irrelevant once pressure is built up?

He hasn't but i sent him a pm anyway. Would have texted him but my damn iphone decided to delete all my contacts!?!
I think his setup has the turbos tucked down near the collectors of the stock headers. |

there's no "kit" for the job, means it'll be a custom job = expensive. There's only a handful of turbo'd BOSSs in the country, and all a much more money than most would deem sane. And if you're gonna spend that much, and be stuck with ~350kw - because you'll need to build the motor for more, you then need many more fun tickets to build the motor.
On the other hand, there's already plenty of supercharger options available from cheap and nasty centrifugal CAPA kits, up to really nice positive displacement (ala twin screw) stuff from BPR, Yella Terra, or BPT for example.
