Hey, I understand that the alternator on an EL V8 is different to a 6cyl one, can someone please explain the difference to me? They sure as hell look the same. Secondly, I want to upgrade my alternator. What other alternators will fit? I'm happy to do pulley swaps or some other minor mods to make it work - AU? Territory? Something along those lines? Also, what sort of $$$ should I be paying for a reco or new standard alternator? What about even a 2nd handy? Any info or advice pertaining to alternators for these vehicles would be appreciated.
