Sorry guys if there is already posts on this, but I can't seem to find it
 Anyone know of a guide to change an alternator out of a EL Falcon?? Thanks in advance JD

Disconnect the serpentine belt, disconnect the battery, disconnect the wiring on the alternator and remobe the bolts holding the alternator in. Install is the reverse.

Yeah it's the serpentine belt issue, I've never replaced or even gone near it. I read its quite difficult to loosen and tighten

First up make a drawing of the pulleys and where the belt goes.To make life easier remove thermo fans and use a 3/8 " breaker bar or a 3/8" ratchet and a pipe as an extension on the tensioner to loosen the belt.Remove alternator and reverse to assemble .It gets easier the more you do.Kevman.
