I've read up on calibrating my Tickford duel fuel EL and went in search of the blue and white wire to connect up to 12 volts to carry out the self learn process. I removed the Tickford gas computer but couldn't locate the wire anywhere in or around it. There is a blue and white wire in one of the multi pin plugs that goes into the gas computer but not a blue and white joined to a black wire. Does any one know where this\ these wires are hiding? This set up is in a 12/97 EL 4.0l Futura wagon. I'm hoping that this self learn process will cure the rough idling and stalling while running on gas running a Landi Renzo SE81 converter. Runs OK on the highway and can't remember when or if it's ever backfired on gas since I've owned it. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

On the EF Tickford's it is tucked under the carpet, just below the AMS computer

Put a Vialle converter on it and will work perfectly.

i had similar issue as what you were explaining. i turned out my converter was blocked*build up of wax*. cleaned it worked well for a month then started doing same thing again, then turned out that the converter was f**k and was leaking internally and feeding coolant into the gas feed hose to mixer ring. replaced converter with a second hand one i got for cheap. runs like a dream
