I am just curious can we fit a walbro GSS342 i know there are some slight modification's But will it run all ok due to the extra flow ? |

Yeah it will run ok but it might idle a bit s**t from the extra fuel flow. I have a bosch 040 in mine, having a bit of trouble with it tho might be broken

ahh ok ive tried goggling etc
but it makes sense its only a high flow pump not pressure the regulator and injectors will only take what it needs Also i PMd troyman about it and yea my gutt feeling was right just wanted to be sure maybe your 040 is a bit weak ? or its high pressure ? |

yeah i don't know what the problem with it is been fine until saturday when it started to play up, also just check that the wires going to the fuel pump are the same size as the one outside the the fuel tank aprox 4mm wire, as when i changed my pump the wires in the tank were about half that, and i didn't want to risk wires melting in the fuel tank because of the high current that the bosch 040 might draw

also need to cut the bottom end off the braket because it is quiet a lot longer than the standard pump

haha s**t i just realised i have a bosch 023 not a 040 they look exactly the same and are the same size just different flow and pressure characteristics
no the only thing different was that it ran a little bit richer than the standard pump but with cams and stuff it made the idle pretty s**t and stalls quite a lot only whilst its idling tho, but a tune would fix that |
