hey just wondering are EF-AU thermo fans interchangeable with one another and which one is better to have?

EF and EL are different wiring, not sure on AU.

i think mine are worn out cause everytime a turn the a/c on they make a terrible noise. im also pretty sure they are suppose to kick into a higher rpm but they dont.

can anyone help me find the relay that control the thermo fans. im sure ive seen it in the EF-EL manual but cant find it and i dont remember if i found it in the engine bay last time. a pic would be good.

there is 3 or 4 relays infront of your airbox...

Hi,

In an EL both Fans are the same, with 3 relays to control them. There is some info about testing at the Resource Tab above. It seems common for the ECU to stuff up and not run the Fans on high. Try and disconnect the battery for a while if the tests dont run them properly. Then test again.
