whistle noise at 2000 & over. no,its not the blower or the belts. finally got the whole lot together and running ok ready to go on dyno for a tune. should i knock the centre out of the pcv valve, cause there shouldnt be any vacuum leaks. ive had the car running n/a for 4months without a drama. n/a made 220rwkw, 13.5 @105mph, 5sp manual. now with vortech!!!!

Knocking the guts out of the PCV will create a HUGE vacuum leak.
Just fit a new steel bodied one, a few dollars from most parts stores. |

Leave the PCV as it is or big drama's
You should have it all tuned up by now yeah?

yeah, its had its first tune, now running a quarterhorse instead of the chip. got 305 rwkw with only 5lbs boost. im pretty happy. its got a lot more in it,but how far do you take a 2-bolt with a girdle? i think its not far of its limits now. why so with the pvc? sorry it took so long to reply, but i already have no pvc and 3/4" pipes out of each rocker cover to a catch can. it stopped the dipstick drama, and its not using oil(this motor is only 30-40 hours old).i do have a drama with fuel though, or i think maybe the stock ignition isnt up for it.

even though your pcv is not connected to your manifold, its a good idea to keep the valve in the body. It prevents moisture in the air from entering your valve cover when the engine is not running.

If you do leave the valve in the pcv doesn't that mean it won't open anymore ? Because it requires vacuum from the BBM to open and close?? |
