G'day all, i am looking into getting a sct sf3 or xcal3 flash tuner. I have looked around and found that they are cheaper on ebay. So i am asking the question has anybody bought one off ebay? and if so have they had any drama with it?

I have bought an xr6t ute that has been over boosted, its pining off its head and has a terrible tune on it. I would like to take it to factory tune or slightly better than factory.

I have also installed gauges to get an idea of how much boost its running at. Foot to the floor and also before the engine cuts out it hits 15-16 psi.

depending who your looking at buying it from, dont buy one from usa as they are not compatable to be used in australian cars..
if your looking at a second hand one its risky, because it the car that the flash tuner was married to hasnt been flashed back to stock the tuner will be vin locked and will be useless..

i did buy a used one but i knew the person and knew who tuned his car so it was a safe buy.....

Find a tuner who works with them and sells them, 9 times out of 10, they will do as good a rice as ebay, they want to sell the product, and if your already opening your wallet to get a tune with them, they will normally be happy to do a good price.
