My car has developed a continuous repetitive thumping sound, which you can feel through the steering wheel. It seems to be coming from the front right wheel, and only happens when braking and turning at the same time. More so when turning right on a round-a-bout but also happens when turning and braking left too.
Any ideas? Greatly appreciated. Need to get it sorted for work

Sounds like something loose to me. If it happens in time with wheel revolutions, check wheel nuts and wheel bearing. With the front end jacked up, grab the top and bottom of the tyre and try tip it away from and towards the car (side to side). If there is any slack, that will be your problem.
If it is not keeping time with the wheel, it could be worn ball joint(s) or tie rod end. Other possibilities I can think of are: tyre belts delaminating and dented/bent brake rotor.

I have the same thing happening....checked all suspension components...only to find it's a tyre...LHF for me.

The car has new front tyres, new ball joints, new bearings, new tie-rod ends, all wheel nuts are tight, brake calipers are tight.
Any other ideas? Is it possible it's the bushes on the sway bar?

Only other things I can think of are wheel bearings (hubs) or a sticking brake caliper. Those were the culprits in the last cab I drove.

Is it possible it's the bushes on the sway bar? So if it's all new then someone has been in there and had it all apart... Go around and actually check everything is still tight and not flogged out instead of just saying it's new so it can't be the problem... When you work on the suspension and put it back together within a couple of hundred km's you should ideally check everything is still tight... If the front end falls out you'll kill someone... Cheers, Tim

I assume this is for the EL.
Does it generally happen only when you brake, or brake and turn? Also does it happen when you accelerate while turning? Check that big nut at the front of the K-frame...can't remember what it is called but it is a big nut...1 on either side of the K-frame facing towards the front. Mine came undone for some reason and caused a knocking sound every time I braked and worse knocking when turning. If that nut comes off while you're driving and you brake, the front suspension will just basically fold under the car.
