hey does anyone know if you need a cross over for tweeters if you run them off your head unit. thanks.

You dont need to as the tweeter will only produce what sound it can. I still would place a crossover on them to be sure you dont burn out the tweeter. Depending on what tweeters your using I would either go a 1uf capacitor or a 3.3 uf capacitor, personally I think the 1 takes out too much and I would go a 3.3 on each positive tweeter line.

o.k, what I mean is go to Jaycar and ask for 2 X 3.3 Farad capacitors. To install them solder to the + wires of your tweeters. Don't worry about a " crossover" circuit board unless you have one, and if that's the case you might need to run complete new speaker wires if your doing the front speakers of an E series.
