My EL's got a bent rear axle. Dad's got an EB that's off the road that I can pinch parts from if needed. Can I take the rear axle out of that one and put it in the EL shaft?
Cheers guys

Yep, the EB is a Ghia and mine's the sapphire so they chucked in ABS. So it's just a direct change over?

The brakes are completely different, and the hat/cover on the diff is different too.....don't know if you can swap the brakes over from one to the other.....never done that before.

Different to the point where the EL rotor won't fit on the EB hub?

The EB Axle will have shorter wheel studs compared to the EL.
Apart from that I don't see a problem. Cheers BenJ

Ok been a while but finally got around to switching the axles around, thought I'd update the thread for anyone else who needs it.
The axle itself fits fine with no issues and works a treat. BenJ was right in that it has shorter wheel studs, but not short enough that there are any issues. Also another thing I noticed was the screw holding the rotor in place is smaller (the diameter, not length) in the EB than the EL, so you cant use the screw from the EL. Not a major issue though as I used the one from the EB anyway
