Hi

I have a xh 4.0 motor i want to put in a xg. im half way through a found there is a conection on the xh motor on the intake side (2pins) look like it will be a sensor, just above and a little to right the coil for the dizzy. i want to know what it is.

I have to swap ignition looms and the xg loom dos not have this conection im talking about. but it dose have a little blue relay cable tied on the loom in the same location the other loom has the 2 pin connector.

any help much appreciated.

that would be the knock sensor... xh/ef,el had a knock sensor and xg/eb,ed didnt..

from a quick read the knock sensor is a modification not a necesity?

also would you know what the little blue relay dose on the xg lume?
