Hey guys
So I converted my ed xr6 to manual all went well, only problem is when driving the car and you get to the rev limiter area Instead of just bouncing off it, it will just completely cut power until the car slows down to about 10km/h then I can let the clutch go and it will start driving again. Wouldn't have a clue what the problem is I tried swapping a few ecus over that I had lying around and they all do it Oh and the car is dual fuel if that could be part of the problem and it does it on petrol and gas. |

Hi,
A simple work-around is put in another limiter that will cut in a few hundred revs lower. Regards 96ELGli

the best thing to do is dont rev the thing so hard, its not going to go any faster or make more power by reving it to the limiter...

Hi,
My thinking is if you are overtaking and someone is coming the other way fast, you dont want to lose all power. If it cuts for a moment you can grab another gear up. Regards 96ELGli

My thinking is it's on gas and doesn't make any power at those revs anyway, so change gears WAY before that and you won't have a problem.
If everything else functions correctly, you don't have a problem. |

it does it on petrol as well though?
when it was auto it used to rev out fine, so i must have f**k something while doing the conversion? it doesnt bother me when overtaking people it's just anoying when trying to have a little fun on a back road |

Why would u be hitting it anyways thay have no power after 4500 anyways!
