Hi just wandering if anyone knows if the xf floor pan on a sedan is all the same as an xa sedan or is it only the weld in panels from rarespares. I ask because my project xa has some rust in floor pan and the xf i bought for motor has excellent floor pan. So instead of cutting bits out just wandering if i can use whole floor pan. Maybe even supports underneath xf. cheers for any replies

I'm not 100% certain.....I haven't had the 2 together at the same time to compare....but, I'm fairly certain they are different.....the XF having more bracing/supports....even where the gearbox Xmember bolts in is way different from memory.....XF is narrower than the XA-XC-XD.

I remember seeing a pik from Ford showing the carry over from XC to XD, pretty sure the floorpan was untouched - dunno if it subsequesntly changed much to XF... I'd be getting the tape measure out and having a good look if you have both cars just sitting there....

Cheers for the response. I have layed the panels from rarespares in xf and they are the same. I am going to remove the floor from xf and see how it fits, and hopefully i can keep all the extra bracing. I know it detracts from having an xa unmolestered but there must be pros to having that bracing. Cheers again and i will post more as i progress.
