I noticed something with the seats in my AU ute a couple of days ago that has me wondering...
Underneath each bucket seat is a yellow plug with a wiring loom that dissapears under the carpet. The loom and plug connect upto the rails of the seats but they aren't electric seats so I'm stumped as to what the wiring is for. Can anyone shed some light on this for me please? Cheers.

Pretensiors for the seatbelts.
If you look down where the seatbelt clip mounts inot the seat you will see it is shaped like an L. Thats the pretensioner. Puts tension on the seatbelt in case of impact.

Based on that fact my Mum is the best around! |

they are for seat belt pre tensioners, in an accident a small charge is set off in the pre tensioner pulling the tension on the belt buckle to minimise the amount of give/stretch in the belt on impact....
