So the other day was sitting there with my car idling the it just cut out and now it has no spark I've tried changing the coil but that didn't help any suggestions ????

Hi,

The Dizzy is most likely the culprit. The electronic module fails. If you replace it, be aware some cheap ones have a dodgy drive gear.

Also +1 on the courtesy light fuse.

However perhaps the OP could clarify for us exactly which vehicle he's referring to. The thread title states EL however his profile info on the L/hand side of the posts is EF. I can see the confusion, as the ignition system is coil pack ignition in the EF and dizzy on the EL.

Hi,

For the Keyboard Warriors, does an EF have a coil ? ( the original Post says Coil, not Coil pack ) What Model car is in the title ? I have had both, and a failed Dizzy. Many people have more than one car or may not update their profile. If you look at a keyboard, the letters are far apart. Not much chance of a typo.
