Over the last few days I've noticed a bit of a clunk when shifting from Park into Drive or Park into Reverse. The transmission operates nice and smooth and very quietly but it's just the clunk while the ute is stationary and being shifted from Park into Drive or Reverse. There are no vibrations or anything, Just the clunk. The vehicle is a series III AU V8 ute.
Anyone know what it might be?

If the trans is operating smoothly and quietly then it could be worn u-joint

Had a quick look at the uni's and they seem okay to me but when under pressure they might be starting to fail. I'll get it checked out by a mechanic just to be sure.

One thing I should also point out is that it only really clunks when it's cold, Otherwise it's fine.
