Saw a set of lowered springs and leafs online advertised for an XG ute. Wanted to know if they'd fit my EL wagon without too many hiccups. Had a look in the king springs catalogues and they do have different part numbers, but am not too sure if that was due to the ute having an extra leaf?

They will fit, difference I believe is that the wagon has round bushes and the ute has oval bushes. Confirm that with Benj or Snap. I do know that Ben had ute springs in his wagon for a while and converted back to wagon springs (with modification, hybrid wagon/ute) as the ride was great due to the different bushes.

Thanks for the reply, I'll send him a PM regarding the bushes.
How about the front springs? Will they also fit?

Different to the 6cyl XR to XF and different again to the E series. http://www.kingsprings.com.au/catalogue ... alogue.pdf |

Ah well it's a decent price, might just try sell them off. As I said before they're different part numbers for the leafs according to kings (I'm not sure of the brand of the ones I've seen so just using them as a guide). {DESCRIPTION} The ute standard and the wagon raised have the same part, but after that the numbers are slightly different, I'll assume due to the different shaped bushes.

Actually, the Wagon has the Oval bush, and the Ute and XR Wagons have the round bush. The Ute leaf springs are also thicker than the wagon ones, and came in 750kg and 1t ratings.
I have had XG ute springs in the wagon and found it to be too stiff. Made up a hybrid leaf pack using the main wagon spring and the rest from the ute. There is info in my build thread. Cheers BenJ

Cheers BenJ Any excuse to read about your wagon! I assume the ute springs you used were the stock ones? Because the ones for sale are lowered leafs, so using the extra reverse leaf might just be low enough without having to use extra spacers. But I'll have to find the specs of them.

You can make them fit! Swop the top leaf over wagon leafs only have 4 lacks utes have 6 i drive my wagon like a wave car so I loved the 6 leads you get less body role but. All so if u use ute leafs you will need to get bigger setters you will need xh ones
