Hi all wondering if my engine oil temp might be slightly high it runs between 90 and 100 degrees centigrade never goes over 100 :?: ,but some of my mates who also have blown cars reckon that the temp is to high :( .
Also for a comparison if for example my std in dash water temp gauge was to read between 1 and 10 instead of the bars it shows now then my water temp normally reads between 3 and 4 not hot at all :) .
I'm running with Nulon 15w 30 oil.The majority of my driving is urban but temp is constant 90 to 100 regardless urban or rural.
Is my oil temp high and what range should my engine oil temp be :?: .
The following is my setup in a BA MK2 2005 XR8 ,Kenne Bell Intercooled 2.6 litre Blower kit,SCT-3 Tuner and custom blower tune.
Pacemaker headers no cats twin 2.5in centre section with a Herrod 3 inch tail section,
Herrod CAI,Herrod performance exhaust cams and standard intake cams,
Custom milled 3.5 inch blower pulley,Mal Wood Option 3 plus clutch assembly,Herrod In Tank hi volume Fuel Pump,Mellings heavy duty Oil pump,IPV Bumper Grille Kit,Herrod Shaker Kit,Herrod Bi Plane rear spoiler, T56 6 speed, 391.2rwkw and 980nm.
Cheers

Well actually, it's logical that your oil temp will be around what your engine coolant temp is. So it sounds about right to me.
