well the compressor, lines, and condensor could all be made to fit easily enough, the trickiest thing you'll run into is the stuff under the dash, I assume you could probably source that from eithier an XH with aircon (best) or an XG or even an XF for that matter.

Yep - EF heaterbox will bolt into XH. That way you'll get the A/C Thermistor in the box. You'll probably already have the wiring - just need to connect it (it goes to the ECU) and the XH Dash switch (although I wonder if ford may not have bothered with a seperate part #..... ). XG and/or XF Switch might work but they are different. You could also just put in an "A/C" switch yourself...
The Front stuff should be able to be all EF/EL. Its not on an XF, but the XH is different. Let us know how you go. Nigel |

You will need the V8 A/C compressor - 6 cyls have different housing - I think mainly for the mounting. 6 cyl: Sanden TRS105, V8 Sanden TRV105.
post1363721.html The airbox gear and front end components are same EF/EL/XH. EF/EL's have a mix of flex and rigid lines - XH 6 cyl has mainly rigid lines, probably carried over from XF. V8's have recirculation overide, 6 cyls do not. Be a good idea to study some cars at the wreckers, and check over wiring diagrams - the gregory's EL/XH manual isn't too bad for basics.

Thanks guys, much appreciated. The ute has got the factory dash a/c switch,so thats one less thing to wory about. I would suppose the main wiring loom would have the plugs already for the a/c,but i could be wrong. I see there is a spare plug in the engine bay beside the power steer pump, its a small round socket 3 pin plug. Once i get a compressor id know for sure.
