Can anyone direct me to where I can find out how to adjust my electric window regulator on my el? I have just replaced it and it is doing the same as the old one, namely struggling to go up and dropping down at the front of the window.

Hi Frog, i had the same problem as you, all I done was to degrease the tracks and put some dry lube on them and while I had the window about half way and still have access to the screw/bolts holding the window onto the tracks I pulled the back half of the window hard into the rubber channel while the front bolt was loose and tighten it up. So far touch wood it have solved my problem.

Same here but I had another car as my daily driver so I didnt worry about it until last week when I done the head. Hence mad rush in rebuilding the interior of the fairmont after painting and getting it to roadworthy standards after the new year

Hi,

You may need to lube the window rubber it slide down in. They go crooked and jam. I uses a Silicon spray in mine and it has been right for years.

Clean the tracks of the window and then dry lube...something like graphite powder. You can also use silicon spray, but doesn't work as well as graphite, especially when the tracks are dirty.
