My AU1 Falcon didn't come with cruise control and I managed to transplant one into an EF I once had so I have a reasonable understanding of whats required.

My question is will a Cruise kit out of a series 2 or 3 AU fit into a series 1?
Obviously I need the stalks, wheel buttons, wiring loom and the cruise control its self.
If not why? What's different?

Anyone done an AU1 conversion and want to give any words of advise?

Or does anyone have one from an AU1 they want to sell?

I have got au2 unit for my AU1 upgrade.
You need body control module to suit your cruise unit.

I got wiring switches and BCM (yellow) to siut with Cruise unit.
Ford Forums has thread on what to do.

I am going whole hog Forte to farmont the lot with ABS traction as well.
Almost ready to start.

That's a pain. Au 2&3 BCM is very different. Sounds like I need to chase a cruise unit out of a series 1.
Would I still need to change the BCM. Problem is finding one to suit au1 manual.
