Hi, i've bought an XF ute for my research project for school..my aim is to have the car roadworthy by mid next year. This is my first time doing this sort of thing but i have general knowledge of how most parts of the car work because im doing a course in automotive. i bought the car a couple of months ago, it had been sitting behind a workshop for about a year but didnt look like too much was wrong. bought it for $500, it was working on gas but not petrol but that seemed to be the only major problem. I got the car running on petrol by taking out the solenoid thing that cuts off the petrol for running on gas, now it runs fine on petrol. before i found out it was the solenoid a friend and i took out the fuel tank and cleaned everything up, so now you know where i stand. It would be much appreciated if you could help me with some of the problems i come across. Thanks

i need help installing the rear section of the exhaust system..it just doesnt seem to want to fit onto the brackets while coming out the back without hitting either the gas tank, shocker or leaf. how much clearance does the pipe need from the diff?
