Not really, the O rings could have been replaced in the past. Are these Ford Std injectors or after market?

If it's the O-rings, black is normally standard rubber, and orange is usually Viton, which lasts way longer. But how often do injector O-rings fail anyway? I've never seen yellow O-rings.
Are you referring to the pintle caps maybe? I don't think the colour of these makes any difference, as long as they are the right ones for that injector.

It's confusing - because I've read somewhere that if the O rings are not Brown then they're not the correct ones - BUT - factory ones are usually GREEN - and I got a reconditioned set of AU ones from reputable Injection place which had Black ones on them! Big headscratch... For fuel resistance AND temperature resistance, Viton is the proper material for sure but it seems there's no fixed colour convention to identify material??.
