The hose clamp on the top radiator hose on my 5.0 AU is a strange one... It looks like a conventional hose clamp but it is all round on the top and has no screwdriver slot in it.
Anyone seen one of them before? And how would I go about removing it should I need to replace the radiator hose in the future? I'm guessing a set of pliers perhaps?

Yes...it means it wasn't P.D'd properly back when it was new. P.D. = Pre Delivery Check. That "cap" is removeable with a pair of pliers, and you will see a normal screwdriver slot. It is a "shear bolt" for want of a better word, for when they do them up in the factory...do them up till they snap off. Chances are, several of them will still be on there.

I did often wonder about those. Felt quite silly when I worked out you just pulled the end off with pliers.
