I want to replace my footwell and door courtesy lights with some blue leds but i'm not sure what globes to use, the standard globes are 3w T10 wedge globes, but I can only seem to find 5w T10 smd's. Are these ok to use in place of 3w globes.

I would say so, if you're worried just put a resistor in to limit it to 3W.

I did it to my el just went to super cheap got the LED blue they do have them in 3w T10 if not on shelf im sure you ask them they"ll get em in kinda expensive though for some globes but they do look awesome.

I just put the 5w in i had and it worked no problem, so i guess as long as it works its all good.
