My understanding of it is you will not need an engineers report on it because your car came out with a V8 as an option. But it does depend who you talk to because I was told by "a vicroads engineer" that a 5ltr V8 wouldnt fit into the engine bay of an XF because they have a smaller engine bay. Go figure?

you will need an engineer certificate as the xf never came with a v8,
and from memory the firewall in xf is slightly different to xd/xe so it will need slight modification as the heater hoses also interfear with the passenger side head ... |

The new 5ltr is going in his WB today as I speak Well if that's the rules down there your mates f**k then. WB ute never come out from the factory as a 308. It wasn't even an option. It was 253 4.2 only in the ute. Only the Statesman with 4 wheel discs etc got the 308.

I still need to engineer the 5 ltr but have found another engineer that said there shouldnt be a problem. Dont know what he is going to say about the IRS under the back of the panel van tho ??
