Can i drop an EBII XR6 ECU straight into an EBII Falcon/Fairmont?
What's the difference between the Normal ECU and the XR6 ECU? |

i'm assuming EBII = smartlock?
yes - it can be dropped straight in! as for the differences - i'm assuming they'd be similar to the EF/EL ones - eg harder shift points, more aggressive mapping, better idle control etc - i noticed an improvement when i put a ticky ECU into my EF Futura

I thought as much.. and yeah the ebii's are smartlock'ed
Is there any differnece on the outside of the ecu? ie a ticky sticker or something... or another way to verify it? |

they have a different catch code - lol as to what the EBII ones are, i'm lost! but its not a sticker or anything that identifies them!

Bare in mind that not all EBII's had smartlock.
October '92 was the change date. There was about 6 months of EB II's that do not have smart lock!
