Hey, this is probably a bit silly, but would you be able to improve the cooling efficiency if you had a set of thermo fans on BOTH sides of the radiator? So presumably, one would need to suck the air out, and the other would need to blow it in, so they'd probably need to rotate in oppisite directions. Admittedly it's a bit of overkill though.

overkill....no such thing! the theory is there, i use a push pull setup on my cpu cooler. i may be wrong but i dont think you can reverse the direction of the fans because of the way the blades are shaped? it would be pretty cool to some people not so to others! very unique indeed

Personally I don't think it would increase cooling at all.... If anything I reckon it would reduce it because you're blocking an even greater area of the radiator from the airflow by mounting thermos in front of it.
You could try it if you like, but as to whether it's worthwhile??

yea no point, the factory fans are already extremly efficient in cooling, i had the factory radiator, a/c condensor, huge trans cooler, engine oil cooler and a intercooler and had no issue with cooling...
imo adding another set infront is just adding un necessary load on your charging system.. and if you were to put a set infront they would need to be unshrouded fans, putting shrouded fans infront will cause a restriction and kill the added airflow given from the car in motion.. |

how about.... a reverse airconditioner
So you get hot air blown in your face, or disposed of elsewhere, and cool air blown infront of the radiator! |

aftermarket "assistance" fans could be used in this fashion, but if your cooling system is in good condition in the first place the stock thermofans would be doing the job fine.
