Hey guys anyone know a place to get a new radiator for an EL ghia that is reasonably priced? Also what is the difference between the copper and alluminium styles in regards to quality?
I have noticed i have a small leak in my radiator at the top of it where air is escaping from, could this be causing my gas system to freeze up/stall after long periods of driving do you think? Thanks for all your help guys |

Hi,
Use Google to find a price. Copper will cost more, but is going to be easier to repair and last longer. The Alloy ones have plastic tanks and a rubber seal. If your Gas is freezing up, what does the Temp gauge say ? You may have a faulty thermostat. Regards 96ELGli

They all have plastic tanks, unless you buy a high quality pwr or something.
This isn't a problem. There are other plastic items in the cooling system anways. Aftermarket radiators can be had for around $80 but try to stay away from cheap alloy ones. Genuine Copper core ones were avaliable from ford for around $180 a few years ago (I bought one from Coffee Dandenong)
