Gday
I have an EB sxr8 manual and it drove through a fair bit of water on the freeway, but not fording. So first it was having a relay clicking hissy fit, fuel pump and ecu, and I clean the terminals and fusible link and still spluttering and carrying on. Now it just cranks over, may not be getting fuel or spark. Any help diagnosing would be appreciated. Its sunday and everthing is shut.. Thank.

Bump.
This car does not seem to have smartlock, and does not have ABS. A question regarding the green and brown relays under the coolant reservoir: Do you have a signal coming from the dizzy or something to make them operate, and then to make them stop working in a crash? I have replaced the tfi module, the coil was fine. But it either runs in limp home mode and intermittently runs fine, when i let it sit overnight its back to limp home mode (runing rough, wont happily rev much past 2000rpm.) I have flooded it a couple of times when it didnt start, kicks over in limp home mode then second time it will come back normally. Anyway, its at an auto elec, Im just worried its going to spend a week there while they go over it all. Im hoping its just a bad earth/metal fatigue to a critical wire. Or it just needed to dry out from the crazy water on the freeway. I appreciate any suggestions.

So I took it too an auto elec and he went over it, discovering that it has a ChipTorque chip that looked as though it was water logged, due to a minor leak in the windscreen. I took it out and cleaned it, set the base timing again, then put it back in. Sweet. Its thumping again.
I had no idea about the chip, but it was causing headaches, jumping in and out of limp home mode and generally being a pig to start. I hope someone else might learn from this. Meanwhile I would love to put the whole ecu in a bag, but before I do I will leave the kick panel off for a couple of days just so I can feel how hot it gets and figure out some way for it to dissipate its heat, if so. Thanks all for your help lol Cheers.

Well its still causing a few issues, I have been instructed that the coolant sensor could be an issue as well. I will let you all know how it goes.
Cheers
