I had to remove the head off my 5L V8 ford windsor engine to drill out a couple of broken studs that happened when removing the valley cover to be repaired due to corrosion, i have been told that i cant replace the head bolts and need new ones, just wondering if this is right or can i re-use the old head bolts.......

Never reuse old head bolts because they stretch and potentially weaken and your asking for problems. New head bolts are cheap anyway.
