Hey All,
Looking at installing an Immobilizer in the XR, just wondering what everyone is using and what everyone would suggest?

I'm putting in a Viper Alarm kit that comes standard with immobiliser pretty decent price too for the the features you get. I work at Autobarn and if your local one doesn't have info on them the website is pretty staright forward if you wanted more info. (make sure it is the Australian site tho)

What kind of price is the viper kit? I'm guessing it takes over from the smart lock as well?

There's a few different ones...but the one that uses your original central locking remote to arm and disarm with immobiliser is $275...and they are Australian standard and can actually make your insurance cheaper...you can also get a Bluetooth add on where you can arm and disarm from your iPhone and get GPS so you know where your car is at all times, when it was started last, last top speed etc. only thing you can't do is remote start...I talked to the Viper rep and for some reason you can't with the EL's which didn't bother me as I was more interested in security. I'm getting the colour LCD screen remote as I don't want anyone opening doors onto my EL that's been freshly painted in HOK Kandy Apple Red lol cost a pretty penny...plus I sell the stuff so I want to be able to show customers the cool remotes lol
