Hi all,
Was just curious as to whether a 94dt head will just bolt onto a 96dt block without too much trouble?
Any help would be appreciated, cheers

The head on the engine I've bought has 96dt blah blah blah stamped on it (is a hybrid) so I wanted to put a 94dt head on it instead of the 96dt

No such thing as a 96dt Block. All E series heads will bolt to E series engines as well as AU.

Okay cheers, I do believe the engine came out of an NL Concorde, would this make a difference? And if I were to put the 94dt head on it, would it make any improvements in power etc?

Yeah, it's all on my original motor, bought the NL Concorde engine as a temporary while I get my original block rebuilt because its my everyday car and I need it running

It won't make much difference, as there was only around 7-8kw difference between the standard motor and the tickford XR6 engine and that was with the Head, Cam, Fuel Reg, ECU & Exhaust.

So if I put the 94dt head on the standard with the 300kpa fuel reg, I will have much the same power as the xr6 engine had? I'm still running my xr6 ecu

if you put the tickford head, cam , fuel reg and ecu, ...yes...
you now have a tickford engine.....
