Hey guys recently replaced my steering rack bush in my ba xr6 to do so have to remove the L/H sway bar mount from chassis. Driving it after i hear a creak when i inspected a few day ago found the bracket has moved up on the torx bolts so i remove the wheel and lever it back down into position clean out any dirt it could be mounted on and re tighten the bolts, take it for a drive and still does it.
So my question to you is, has this happened to anyone and they were able to fix it? my next move would be to just put a spot of weld on it to hold it in place but i would rather do it properly if there is a fix. Cheers Corey

It may be that the creak is coming from the rack. There was a service fix for BA/BF with rack creak.

Fair enough, an unusual one. Maybe some bolts that size with Spring washers?

I'll take it all off at ride height clean it up and put back on and see how I go, if that doesn't help then ill go down the path of spring washer and a high tensile bolt
