okay i found the hole in the manifold it is about a 1/4 size hole. very tiny. and when i start it up i can feel the air coming out of it. i have done lots of research and QUIKSTEEL has gotten very good reviews on patching up a manifold so im gonna give it a shot. will give you updates later. heres hoping it works!!

okay i discovered that tiny hole was supp to be there but my mechanic said it was supp to have a tube coming out of it and that it was okay that i sealed it..then. i saw that air was coming out of the gasket under the carb, it wasn't flush to the engine. i also discovered that there was air coming out of one of the screws..so i patched those up different ways. i did use the quiksteel around the screw but with the air coming out of that gasket i made my own gasket and stuck it in there to give it a better seal and so far it works. i dont know if im gonna use that quiksteel at the gasket or not. any ideas other than removing the manifold?
im new at this so be gentle. |
