Hey everybody, new to this forum.
I have a big problem with my ford xe 6 cylinder, my car cuts out around 3000 rpm, it struggles then dies seeing the tacho metre go right down but some times stays on, when around 3000 rpm it starts to hesitate. When it finely dies it has trouble starting. Ive change: had the carby overhauled, new fuel pump and fuel filter, leads and plugs, new coil, reco dissey and had a mechanic check the timing and he cant find the problem. It dosent play up in park or neutral if reved, i put the back end on stands so i didnt have to break down testing it around the block and it when pretty high in rpm and hesitated for 1 or 2 sec then tacho metre started to drop like crazy while the car was die, i pumped my foot a few time and the car stayed on. I dont understand, is it the motor? I know the valve seals are leaking. ANY ADVICE OR HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM???????????????????????????????? |

sounds like a fuel issue....try flushing the fuel lines as there might be a blockage some where causing the motor to lean out...i could be wrong though...dose it use excessive amounts of fuel?
