I have decided to try re-chroming the badges on my XR6 as opposed to paying Ford $120 for new ones!
I will let you all know how it goes!

For a $15 can of chrome paint, it's worth a shot

Unfortunately the badges are quite a soft plastic and the glue that holds them on is enough to destroy the badges as you pull them off.

Check on ebay if you need new badges, I don't think rechroming them will work.

Oh well
