I am trying to programme a new remote on my 2005 Territory Ghia. Following the instructions and turning to the accessory position then pushing the rear window demister three times does not cycle the door locks. It will not enter the learning mode ? Does anyone know how I may cure this ? I read somewhere to check all the internal bulbs in the accessory circuits and rear window demister circuit. All seem to be operating ? Any other suggestions welcomed !!

Hi,
I am not familiar with your vehicle, but in mine I turn the ignition to on without starting, and you then have 5 seconds to press the switch 3 times. It will take about 10 seconds after the last press to start the learning cycle ( the locks cycle ). As you press the switch you can see the indicator in the dash change. Also for my car, you can have up to 4 remotes, and you have to use them all when you start the learning part. This means any lost ones wont work. Regards 96ELGli

Thanks. I solved my own problem today. I am not sure whether it was changing the blown glove box bulb ?? Probably more likely that I was turning the key too far ?? But whatever, it went into learning mode and now the remote works Thanks, problem solved
