ok i know have been gone a while but hey!
ok lads/ladies scored me a 99auxr6 manual for 1k but had a ( what i thought was a blown head gasket... ) full on milky oil and very little coolant so i get it home and pull the head off ( rounded a head bolt too ffs! , that was fun to get off ) and dads smart idea to keep the inlet manifold on.... only to find the the head gasket is intact, not broken at all any where the block has no corrosion the cylinder walls look good and have visible cross hatching a bit oily though on piston tops the head has no visible corrosion at all yet there is oil/water mix in the intake ports have run a straight edge over the head face and looks fine but then hey it could be warped still

I could have pin hole corosion in the head.....???....a mate of mine has a 2001 AU2, and it had pin holes that lead to the outside....you could see green coolant ever so slowly form a puddle in #1 spark plug socket.
I had to fit an exchange head to it.

Probably a cracked head Frank. 3 options at this point.
1. Get another head 2. Get your head inspected and any necessary repairs carried out 3. slap it back on and hope for the best. I would suggest that most machine shops would be tooled up sufficiently enough that they could identify and quote accordingly so you will know your exact outlay for the job.
